What is Wegovy Pill?
Wegovy Pill is a once-daily tablet containing semaglutide — the same active ingredient as the Wegovy injection. It is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that works by reducing appetite and helping you feel fuller for longer, without the need for injections.
How does Wegovy Pill compare to the injection?
Both contain semaglutide and produce up to 14% weight loss in clinical trials. The key difference is convenience — the oral version is a daily tablet taken on an empty stomach, while the injection is given once weekly. The Pill form is ideal for those who prefer not to inject.
How should I take Wegovy Pill?
Wegovy Pill should be taken once daily on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before your first food, drink, or other oral medications. Swallow the tablet whole with a small amount of water (up to 120ml). Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.
What is the price of Wegovy Pill in the UK?
Wegovy Pill prices start from £99 for the 3mg starting dose, up to £179 for the 50mg maximum dose. All prices include prescription review, ongoing clinical support, and discreet delivery.
Does Wegovy Pill need to be refrigerated?
No. Unlike the Wegovy injection pen which requires refrigeration, Wegovy Pill tablets are stored at room temperature. This makes them much more convenient for travel and everyday use.
Are there side effects with Wegovy Pill?
The most common side effects are similar to the injection: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation — particularly when starting or increasing your dose. These typically improve over time. Starting on a low dose and gradually titrating up helps minimise discomfort.
