What is Foundayo (Orforglipron)?
Foundayo is a once-daily oral tablet containing orforglipron, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It is the world's first oral GLP-1 medication for weight loss, offering the same appetite-regulating mechanism as injectable options like Mounjaro and Wegovy — without the need for injections.
How does Foundayo compare to Mounjaro and Wegovy?
Mounjaro and Wegovy are weekly injections that typically produce greater weight loss (up to 22.5% and 15% respectively). Foundayo produces up to around 13% weight loss in clinical trials but has the significant advantage of being a simple once-daily tablet — ideal for those who prefer not to inject.
What is the price of Foundayo in the UK?
Foundayo prices start from £89 for the 3mg starting dose. Prices increase with higher maintenance doses, up to £169 for the 36mg maximum dose. All prices include prescription review, clinical support, and discreet delivery.
Does Foundayo need to be refrigerated?
No. Unlike injectable GLP-1 medications which require refrigeration, Foundayo tablets can be stored at room temperature. This makes them ideal for travel and everyday convenience.
Who is Foundayo suitable for?
Foundayo may be suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above with a weight-related health condition. It's particularly suited to those who want the benefits of GLP-1 treatment without injections. Our prescribers assess your suitability during the online consultation.
Are there side effects with Foundayo?
As with all GLP-1 medications, the most common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation — particularly when starting treatment. These typically improve over time. Our clinical team will guide you through managing any side effects throughout your treatment.
